Miltera Machining Research Corp. has seen rapid growth over the last couple of years. One result of this recent success is the need for a new, larger location.
Operating out of their current Kitchener based, 10,000 sqft facility for the last 8 years. Miltera recently expanded to a second highly-automated 6,000 sqft location near the company headquarters in 2017. Despite the addition of this second location, Miltera has still now outgrown their current space, leading to the purchase of their new facility, 60 Struck Court in the advanced manufacturing core of Cambridge.
This new facility is strategically located to offer quick access to Highway 401 and Highway 24. The facility features professional office space with a mix of private offices, open areas, and controlled clean room lab spaces. The new location will allow Miltera to consolidate all operations of the company in one building.
At over 30,000 sqft, and sitting on 3 acres of land bordering Highway 401. This new location meets the current space needs for Miltera, with additional room to accommodate future growth.
Mike Blackburn, President of Miltera Machining Research had this to say about the company’s recent move:
“Our new Cambridge facility allows us room to expand our capabilities while remaining within the vibrant Waterloo Region. This region’s focus on high tech entrepreneurship has led to tremendous opportunities for growth. Extensive clean room laboratories at the new facility further extends our ability to provide among the most precise measurement capability in North America as well as adding dedicated clean room laboratories for extreme precision prototype manufacturing. Plans are already underway to further extend the building on the 3 acres of land.”
